The Development Cycle

The stages of bespoke software development are as follows ...

Consultation - we will meet with you for a free consulation and assess your project needs and discuss possible solutions that match your requirements and budgets

Quotation - we will provide you with detailed costings and an implementation plan with timescales

Specification - we spend time listening and understanding your needs and then produce a specification encompassing the scope and functionality of your project. This specification then forms the basis of the work schedule that is used throughout the project cycle.

     Free no obligation consultation

Development - your application is developed in stages allowing you to be involved and offer feedback at every stage. This feedback is then used to refine the software. This approach ensures that you have the confidence that the finished software will meet all your expectations

Installation - your application is installed importing data from your old system as required. Training and documentation such as help guides are provided at this stage.

Testing and Handover - for larger applications a period of user testing will normally be required. The final handover and sign off will then take place

Support - All support is carried out from our offices in Norwich through remote connection to the customer's sites. We don't even need to be on site to provide our services; but with our remote connections you'll feel that we are.

Eastport UK based in Great Yarmouth were using an Excel spreadsheet to store all their supplier purchase order information. We built them a database using Microsoft Access 2007 which enabled them to maintain their supplier database and also enter and print their purchase orders. Functionality was also added to enable them to import their old data from their Excel spreadsheets into the new database.

Root3 wanted us to build a program that would be able to import Electrical test data from Excel spreadsheets and then enable you to edit/view this data as well as print test certificates. Their customer who were Aviva then needed to be able to logo into their website and view this data. The software was written using Visual Basic .NET with the data uploaded to a web database for viewing online.

FW Frost Engineers approached us as they were looking for a piece of bespoke software to handle their job costing, purchasing and invoicing. They had been unable to find what they were looking for 'off the shelf' with most packages offering them a lot of functionality that they would never use and would just get in the way. At least with a bespoke software package they could get exactly what they wanted.
